Fall 2017, Starts in September 2017
Fall semester starts when the weather in Israel is still very hot.
Toward the end of September the weather starts to cool down and maybe a little chilly at night.September is the month of Israeli holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. In Sukkot two big events take place on the farm : the festival of Sukkot and the Annual celebration of Israeli Permaculture Organization. Eco participants take an active part in both events. In November the weather cools . Unfortunately there is not enough rainfall in Israel, so we are very pleased when it rains. The valley and the surrounding hills turn green and starts blooming. In December we celebrate Hanukkah, the festival of lights and light a menorah every night. In January, we have another event – Tu Bishvat happening, it is the trees New Year . February is usually the beginning of spring, the weather heats up gradually.
